I believe this chain would have been utilized on bicycles with a particularly wide drivetrain or even motorcycles as I've seen them advertised alongside both.
Includes the very distinct proprietary wedge style master link designed by Morse.
The chain is designed around roller chain technology, this chain has been spliced way before our time with a few block chain links as shown.
