There are a couple things missing.
Some minimalized spoke nippels and some milled-out (to half thickness) Campagnolo axles
Don't know if this stuff was ever used, but wow, what a great strength to weight ratio (or not!)

And probably lost races to riders on bikes weighing pounds more. It's funny, but I was thinking of going much more extreme on a "Drillium" build to include some frame drilling also (not just the drop-outs!).

I have always felt the most effective drillium would be to drill holes in the water bottle....saves about 600 grams once all the water runs out

I just skip mounting them! I save weight by being dehydrated.
