Small Project

Yes, not the most interesting or exciting project but I cant say no to it. So over a year ago I was picking in a barn on Malabar, FL and amongst NOS and used vintage hot rod and motorcycle parts and vehicles I found some old training wheels and decided to keep them. Why? Heck I don't know. Fast forward to this week, I find a rough 1960's Ross 11" frame Convertible with 16" wheels. From my research, I am pretty sure these training wheels go to this bike. They bolt right up perfectly.

Anyways, I need fenders, original seat (blue and white I think), and chain guard and maybe (probably) new wheels. Does anyone know of a way besides eBay to locate parts?

I've got this bike that I've stopped down not long after the picture was taken. The wheels have a bit of rust on them but should bounce back when cleaned and polished. Had planned on this being for my grandson, but found a different one I like a bit better. If interested in any of the parts let me know.

The red one is the one I have torn down and had planned to paint it, but then found a Western Flyer Freedom 2 BMX style bike for the grandson instead. Then decided to get him the BMW instead. So the reald one is already taken apart and portions have the red paint stripped off.

These are pre/post war training wheels I had restored to use on the red bike.

Made lots of progress of the little thing. Polished all the metal, cleared and polished the paint, cleaned the chain, and cleaned the bearings and hubs.

So here is the almost finished product. Still trying to locate fenders original seat, chain guard, and original tires/tubes but overall she's about finished.
