1910 or teens Crown bicycle, Great Western Manufacturing from LaPorte, IN. Has the Johnson motor wheel rear wheel attached. This was sold as an accessory for Crown bikes.
Good- nice headbadge, nice motor bike handlebar/stem, original paint visible under front white enamel crown (maroon).
Cool original heavy duty Johnson motor wheel with what looks to be the original tire. Hub looks complete but bearings and guts are quite loose on axle. Motor wheel missing the springs but these are sourced from screen door springs so easy to replace.
Bad- has been crashed long ago and rear stays bent off centre. Motor wheel rim wore small hole in seat stay on one side. Front wheel looks to be correct size for bike, based on original front fender, but not original. Front chain ring bent.
Rare bike. Willing to sell bike and motor wheel separately also, but prefer to keep together.
This will be at the Monroe meet on Sunday!
$1200 complete.
THIS IS COMPLETE BIKE WITHOUT THE MOTOR. If you are building a johnson motor wheel as a rider you want the original heavy duty wheel, not some made up thing.
Title is correct because this is a johnson motor wheel. Without the motor...
