Finally riding a big boys bike
28” 1899 Lozier Cleveland Model 65. Seat tube c-t is 21.5. $875 includes the flight.
A decent, albeit slightly rat example in original black paint. Features roller brake, barrel hubs with ball end spokes, clincher rims, full chain case, Cleveland pedals, extended skirt guard, wood rear fender, 3/16” block chain engraved “Cleveland”, lamp bracket, split bottom bracket, rat grips and Wheeler seat chassis.
Everything spins and or is easily removed. It’s still encased in barn dust. Frameset is straight as an arrow. Entire bike is as light as a feather.
Per original lit, the full Cleveland chain case “compels the use of a bicycle, no matter the weather”.
Chain case circular ends are cast aluminum, and the chain tubes are formed oil cloth. There are small band clamps that hold each end of the soft tubes, so they can be removed for service or repair.
Wood fender is cracked at bridge but otherwise intact. Even all the lacing grommets are in place.
One rubber pedal block is missing securing plate and hardware, but rubber block remains.
